My Opinion

I've been thinking about what people have told me and what I have learnt at school. Throughout my blog I have asked many questions which I have not answered to my readers or even to myself. My views on our society have been pretty stuborn, I tend to think what I want to think but since opening this blog I have come to realise what the world really is.

The world has changed soooooooo much and its only the beginning. The technology devices computer programmers and scientists have discovered or are discovering are huge. They are even trying to bring people back from the dead by cloning dead people and giving them life. That's only part of it. The world is changing and I'm not sure anymore if I like it. The people of this world are becoming selfish, they all want the world to be the way they want it, not the way it should be. Some, like my grandma, may say we are becoming less human. In some way she is correct. Technology is making things we may say easier but it can be seen worse. Technology does everything for us now so we are no longer using our bodies and our brains the way they were originally made to be.
But although we don't use use our bodies and our brains the way we should we are still humans just different types of humans. We still have a brain, a heart, legs and arms ect. we still look pretty much like what humans looked like 100 years ago. We still think and make our own decisions, have fealings. We are no more or no less human than them we are just humans that have invented technology to assist us.

It has taken me a while to see it but my grandma is true. My whole blog has been a mix of opinions but my opinion now stands. We are all still human just advanced humans.

Learning

Today in science class we started to learn about how we genetically modify the human genes to create babies of our liking. How amazing it is that we can now choose what we want our children to look like. My parents did that for my siblings and me and I have to say we look like a very charming bunch of people. Once again my grandma doesn't agree with all this. She goes on saying well in her day people fell in love, had babies and were surprised at finding out if their child was a girl or boy. They didn't care what they looked like or what they would grow up to be but the fact that they have a baby that looks like them and would one day be a spitting image of them.
Well why on earth would you want someone that looks like you. None of my siblings or myself look like my parents and I'm happy about that. My mum has a big nose and is skinny like a stick while my dad has a small mouth and is very largely built with wide shoulders. Why would I want to look like them not to mention letting my children look like that.
I get frustrated every time my grandma complains about society. She can keep complaining but she is part of this society now so she has to live with it. The world isn't that bad is it? We live well and we live long, longer than any generation has. Thanks to the improvement in technology, science and medicine we can live for well over 100 years and still look young. Scientists are still working on perfecting a longevity drug that can help us to live forever. They say it should be finished in a couple of months and I hope so because I would love to live for eternity.
WOW, my post today is really long. I guess there is a lot to say. The world is changing a lot every minute of every day and we are all changing with it.

Complaining

I was thinking about what we do for ourselves and we don't seem to do much. I mean, well you know, everything is programed to connect with our brains or body sensors. All we seem to do is sit there and make technology do all the work. I can say I'm fine with it but my grandma is continuously complaining like all the time. She says we are all becoming lazy. Gosh! what does that word even mean?! no one uses it anymore. I tell grandma every time she brings it up that "it's the way the world has become" because it is, right??

Grandma has told me stories of the days when she and her grandma would read paper printed books and walk to the shops or the park. Today we all read e-books and take our hover boards or hover carts to get to the shops. Every time we do that my grandma complains again "your not getting exercise, your never gonna stay healthy, you are too LAZY". OH MY GOODNESS why does she even bother about exercise thanks to technology again we don't have to exercise and we still look good on the outside, nice and thin.

Some one please make my grandma stop complaining!

First day of School

With the beginning of Senior High School came the start of history class and our first topic for the course is early 21st century history. I sat there at my glass table in the back corner of the classroom listening to the teacher intently as she told us about the lifestyle of the people who lived a hundred years ago. As the teacher slid slides on the interactive glass board at the front of the room i followed along using my text drive. sliding my fingers across my table to change the pages I realised how easy I had it. The people who lived in the early 21st century had to carry books around to classes and write on white boards using ink and now all I have to do is stick my text drive which looks almost like the old USB sticks into the side of my table which acts like a computer to reveal my text book. Then just like an ancient ipad i turn the pages with my finger. How much things have changed since the past. I wonder though is the way we are living morally correct or not. We rely a lot on technology now. Should that be the case?
